FR. MBAKA; WHERE DID HE GO WRONG?

 PLEASE LEAVE FR. MBAKA ALONE.

Enough of all these insults. If Fr. Mbaka talks, you come to social media to insult him, just because what he said didn't favour your own candidate. He keeps quiet; you still insult him, claiming that he has gone into hiding and is not showing concern for the plight of the people. What do you want him to do?

Two years after the election, we are still vilifying Mbaka because of his prophecy. Is it an offence to prophesy and it came to pass? After all, Mbaka's prophesy did not influence the election in any way, because majority of his followers are Igbos, and you and I know that the Igbos did not vote for Buhari in spite of Mbaka’s prophecy.

God chose Saul to be king over Israel through the Instrumentality of Samuel the prophet. When Saul misbehaved, God dealt with him and not Samuel the prophet who announced him king. Israel didn't go fighting Samuel the prophet because of Saul’s misbehaviors. They didn’t say Samuel did not see well at first. As a matter of fact, it was the same Samuel that God used to choose and anoint David the next king of Israel. I guess if father Mbaka today is to prophesy who will be the next president of Nigeria, many of us will shout: Mbaka again? Yes! Because we do not understand how the prophetic operates.
Against many other prophecies, Mbaka's prophecy on who ascends the presidency in 2015 came to fulfillment. Rationally speaking, this would have attracted high acceptability of Mbaka as a true prophet of God. On the contrary, many of us have branded and called him fake, wicked, political priest and many other unprintable names, just because his prophecy didn't go the way of our preferred candidate. Is that how you adjudge who is a true prophet? When the prophecy favours you, the man is a true man of God, when it did not favour you, he is fake. Must the prophecy favour you before it will be termed authentic?

Sultan of Sokoto, who is the head of the Moslems in Nigeria go to Aso rock every now and then, you don’t complain. Adeboye, Kumuyi, etc., have all visited Aso rock since Buhari became president, you didn’t complain. Mbaka visited only ones on the invitation of the presidency, and trailer loads of insults were offloaded on him. Is Mbaka not a Nigerian? Does he not have the right to say his mind on issues that concern our country?
For crying out loud, who told you Mbaka is happy with the way things are going now in Nigeria? Mbaka has more than 4,500 employees. Does he buy dollar from a different market? Does he operate under a different economy? You think people don’t complain to him? You think his profit margin has not been affected by the present economic crunch in the country? The Mbaka I know is not happy with the state of Nigeria now. He may not have been talking much recently, probably because a lot of people, especially his superiors may have advised him to take caution. As a priest who has taken a vow of obedience, he is bound to respect his superiors. But the point is clear, Mbaka is not happy with Nigeria as it is now.

And who says Mbaka is not supposed to comment on political matters in Nigeria? Read your bible well. Prophets in the bible spoke strongly on political issues. Moses Challenged Pharaoh, Elijah challenged Ahab, Nathan rebuked David, John the Baptist challenged Herod, Isaiah spoke well of Cyrus, the early Apostles had it hot with political leaders of their time. The examples are endless. All over the world, great men of God are known to be the conscience of the society. They challenge the authorities when they go astray. So, Fr. Ejike Mbaka has a moral and prophetic responsibility to challenge the powers that be when they go astray. And remember, with prophetic eyes, he sees more than ordinary eyes see.

If you like, abuse him, like him, hate him, ban him, in fact, refuse to invite him to your programs as many have done, it doesn’t take away or even diminish the oil upon Ejike Mbaka. The last time I checked, the population of the adoration ministry has grown far beyond what it used to be. Astounding miracles are still happening in that ministry – an index that the finger of God is still upon Mbaka.
As for those Christians, especially Catholics, who join others to abuse their priests on Facebook and other social media, just because of occultic and blood stained politicians, ride on. Fight for the politicians and insult your pastors. No problem. Continue heaping curses on youself.
Mbaka may not be perfect. He has weaknesses. Of course, he is a mortal; and every mortal has weaknesses. He has made many mistakes and will continue to make mistakes because he is still a man. But only a fool comes to the social media to discuss the weakness of his biological or spiritual father. Real children don’t do that.

The last time I checked, Fr. Mbaka is still a priest of the Holy Roman Catholic Church under Enugu diocese. His whole faculties as a priest are still intact. You are not wiser than his bishop who has kept him. Insofar as the oil of ordination is still upon him, any insult on him is insult on God who has called him. Be wise and leave Mbaka alone. Let God who has called him and made him a prophet judge him.
I wanted Jonathan. Even Mbaka as a southerner and Christian preferred Jonathan. But for whatever reason, the voice he was hearing in the spiritual realm said “Buhari will win”. Case closed. Separate the prophet from the prophecy. Fight Buhari (Saul) not Mbaka (Samuel).
Mbaka is a big blessing to Nigeria and the world in general. Let’s pray for him, let’s love him. Stop abusing Fr Mbaka.
