5 RULES OF MEN DRIVEN BY A DREAM
1) Your Background cannot limit your Dream.
Joseph had a dream that triggered the jealousy of his brothers, he was captured and sold into slavery. But instead of a stumbling block, slavery in Egypt became a stepping stone towards actualization of his dream.
David was the youngest Brother in the sheepfold, he was not qualified to fight in the battle because he was young. Young in age but brave in heart, David refused to be stopped by qualifications but seized the opportunity to turn around his destiny and the destiny of Israel.
Paul was a Fanatical religionist and Murderer; he persecuted and murdered the early Christians but when he met Christ he never allowed his past to affect him, but he courageously preached Christ more than any other Apostle or Disciple. He wrote more than half of the New Testament Books.
2) Troubles do not negate Triumphs.
Joseph was falsely accused by the Egyptian's wife, the accusation landed him in the prison yet he became the Prime Minister of Egypt. From Prison to Place!
David's life was sought by king Saul. His own son Absalom turned against him; yet he became the King of Israel.
Paul was shunned by the Church he came to lead. In Damascus he was smuggled out of the city in a basket through a window when the Governor and King sought to apprehend him (2Cor.11:32-33). Yet he became the greatest Evangelist ever known to man.
3) They found God's Plan for their life.
God has a divine destiny for every life, your dream must be in line with your destiny.
Joseph became Prime Minister but not a King
David became a King but not a Preacher
Paul became a Preacher but not a Prime Minister.
4) Each of them stayed the Course.
They kept the faith and trusted God to the end. (1 Tim. 4:7. Paul)
They endured hardships along the way. (1 Sam. 24:12. David)
They knew that God's plan sometimes takes years to mature. (Gen. 50:20 Joseph)
5) Success did not alter their Ambition.
"Adversity tests Character, Success tests Integrity" - David Exeley.
Paul was a "this one thing I do" person
David could not build the Temple, but he planned for it. (1 Chron. 22:5, 8.)
Joseph could not enter the ‘Promised Land' but he sent his bones (Gen. 50:25.)
What is your Dream?
Do you have one?
Is it worthwhile? Eternal?
Is it a ‘God's Plan' dream?
Is it in line with your destiny?
Can you endure and stay focused?
GOD BLESS YOU
