Holiness the Beauty of Believers




Holiness is the beauty of a believer. It's the ability to stand before God without a sense of fear and guilt. To be holy is to be God-like, clean and pure. Holiness is God's attribute; God's own nature in man. The greatness and power many of us desire will elude us because we have failed to cherish this attribute of God. Life's experience has taught me that "Power" without purity is a dangerous possession that can destroy someone's life. By God's grace I resolve to correct all the mistakes of my past, while making effort to avoid further mistakes. I will detest anger and malice, every effort will be made to avoid pride and prayerlessness. I am praying to be good and not to be great anymore. Goodness can make me great, but greatness cannot make me good. Therefore, for the rest of my life;
I MUST forgive offences done to me by other people,
I am working for holiness,
Asking for holiness,
I want to live for holiness,
I am seeking holiness
I know that God will grant my noble desire:
Just to be holy and unspotted for the rest of my life...

The Passion of love and The Pain of Loss - Part One

It was the longest night of my life. The doctor looked at me with mute hopeless appeal, his facial expression was that of total despair though he managed to pretend as if everything was okay. Within a second, I was gripped by this sense of disgust, sorrow and revulsion and I gave him a curious but futile stare. I could feel the scorch of fear on my skin travelling through my spine, down to the bone marrow even though he is yet to utter a word. I nearly lost my balance; I had to lean on the wall to regain myself. I feared the worst. It was about 1:30am in the early hours of Friday March 27th, 2015, I could feel the movement of light disappearing from my eyes. The night became darker than usual. My heart skipped as if it's about jumping out of its cage. All these happened in less than 5 seconds. I knew there was nothing okay about the situation, but I managed to ask, "I hope she is alright?"
