God is Faithful! I will tell my Children
"Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised"
(Hebrews 10:23 NKJV)
(Hebrews 10:23 NKJV)
I'm a lover of art works, when you open the door to my sitting room you will see the picture in this post strategically placed in the opposite direction. Its not only for aesthetic purposes, there is an inscription on it(My God is Faithful). Same is boldly written on the cover of every book I have published. That's a reminder of a promise I made to God in July 2001: "I will tell my children that you are faithful".
Growing up I, discovered three cardinal beliefs upon which I tried to build my life. They are so pivotal that nothing, absolutely nothing can alter them. The first among the three is that God cannot fail me because, he is faithful. After the burial of my late wife, the cameraman during an interview asked: "what will you tell your children when they grow up?" I did not need to think of an answer so replying him I said, "I will tell them that God is faithful and cannot fail them even though they lost their mum at a very very tender age"
This verse of the Bible, is my daily dose of "Adrenaline", it triggers my fight-response to challenges no matter how tough. Even when I feel so inadequate, it keeps me going. At the weakest point of my life, it pushes me beyond my limit. It's my stability in ecstatic mood. When you see Ahaoma Charles Ebere smile through the storms, its because I know he is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23, calms my nerves when in tension. If you don't get what you hoped for, it doesn't change who God is. Even when you lost something invaluable, he is the reason you didn't loose everything.
The world can turn upside down yet this fact cannot be shaken. Both in lack and in plenty, God has always proved himself. No matter what you think about it, God remains who he is to me; faithful!

Have you found yourself in situations where you were mocked and ridiculed? Have you been told that you're suffering for your sins? Maybe you're childless because of the many sins of your youth? Did someone tell you the reason you're jobless is because you can't pray well? I had someone say, how can the devil snatch your wife and you said you're a Christian? Hahahahahaha, I laughed. But the truth remains that God created ALL things for his pleasures and no one has the right to dictate for God what his pleasures are.
Do not allow your faith to be shaken. You have a belief(faith) which you profess; continue in it no matter the situation. We have an assurance in God, that he will neither fail nor forsake his own. God never promised us a stress free life as Christians, but he promised to deliver us from "the many afflictions". Even if he decides not to deliver us, as he will sometimes that still, will not change this fact.
Many preachers say(and I believe), "the boat that has God in it cannot sink". But I ask, what happens if it sinks, like it will sometimes? If it sinks then, we have the opportunity to sink with him and in him. He who promised is faithful...Believe me, God cannot fail.
Keep the faith and Stay blessed.
