21 Questions you should ask BEFORE YOU SAY YES!

Often times marriage is called "the bold step" in a relationship and it is not called "the bold step" for nothing. Love may be blind as many people claim, but marriage is the real eye opener. It signifies the commitment and love you have for someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. While having the strong feelings of love towards someone is essential to getting married, other factors are important to consider before walking down the aisle.


There should be a reality check for couples on the marriage path, they must do everything possible to understand their partner's nature, thought processes, lifestyle, and marital expectations before they say YES. Before you say 'I DO', ask the following questions, they will help you determine if he/she is the one for you forever!
Here are the 21 questions you must ask before marriage:

1. Why exactly do you love me?
2. Why do you want to spend the rest of your life with me?
3. How am I different from you exes and other friends?
4. What makes you really angry?
5. What are you like when you get angry?
6. What are your future/career aspirations?
7. What sexual activities do you enjoy the most?
8. Are there specific sexual acts that make you uncomfortable? Be specific!
9. Has sexual dissatisfaction ever been a factor for you in the breakup of a relationship?
10. What is your medical family history? Do you have health issues?
11. Have you ever had a serious illness? Have you ever had surgery?
12. What is your blood group and Genotype?
13. What are your core-values; by what principles do you live your life?
14. What is your financial status? Are you in any form of debt?
15. Would you feel unfulfilled if you were unable to have children?
16. Is your religious beliefs same as mine?
17. Is spirituality a part of your daily life and practice?
18. Has religion or spiritual practice ever been a factor in the breakup of a relationship?
19. What makes you most joyful?
20. Do you have the support of your friends and family?
21. Can we resolve conflicts together without involving a third party?

It was the longest night of my life. The doctor looked at me with mute hopeless appeal, his facial expression was that of total despair though he managed to pretend as if everything was okay. Within a second, I was gripped by this sense of disgust, sorrow and revulsion and I gave him a curious but futile stare. I could feel the scorch of fear on my skin travelling through my spine, down to the bone marrow even though he is yet to utter a word. I nearly lost my balance; I had to lean on the wall to regain myself. I feared the worst. It was about 1:30am in the early hours of Friday March 27th, 2015, I could feel the movement of light disappearing from my eyes. The night became darker than usual. My heart skipped as if it's about jumping out of its cage. All these happened in less than 5 seconds. I knew there was nothing okay about the situation, but I managed to ask, "I hope she is alright?"
