15 Most Important Lessons Life has Taught me

Life is full of uncountable lessons, every experience comes with special lessons. I have learnt so many important lessons with sweet and bitter flavours. The following deserve to be mentioned among the most important of all my life lessons.
Lessons Life taught me #1 - God can do all things except oneGod can give you the ingredients for your daily meal but He expects you to do the cooking yourself. He can put food on your table but it's your duty to put food in your mouth. God will give the inspiration but you will do the thinking.
God is not responsible for brains that were not properly used, the talents that were not harnessed and the lost opportunities. God cannot do for anyone what he can do for himself.

Lessons Life taught me #2 - Nothing is absolutely free

Check those things that are termed free gift of nature like water, air, and even life. You may consider them free but before you forget; they are not cheap. Take the air as an example: for you to be alive you must breathe; breathing involves inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon IV oxide - that's the price. At the point of death this price(of breathing in and out) becomes too much for any individual to pay and they give up. Anything that is free has a hidden price tag.

Lessons Life taught me #3 - Except God, no one can protect you better than yourself

Those who totally commit their security to other people most times will not live to tell their stories. Human beings are unpredictable; you cannot be very sure...therefore you are your own security officer.

Lessons Life Taught me #4 - Love alone isn't enough to sustain your marriage

Love birds also fight. Couples disagree and quarrel even during honey moon; and that doesn't mean their love suddenly evaporated it simply means they are humans. Even divorced couples agree they still love one another meaning that LOVE is not the only thing needed to sustain a marriage. Without understanding, loyalty, commitment and mutual respect love will not thrive.

Lessons Life taught me #5 - Nothing last forever

No matter what they are, no matter how sweet or bitter they taste, whether tough or easy,  regardless of how important or valuable they are to you; a time shall come when they shall be no more. The best way to live is to enjoy the moment.

Lessons Life taught me #6 - Time is the most valuable resource on earth.

Time is as important as life; your life is a summation of utilized and wasted time. Everything in life (no matter what they are) is tied to time. No one can do without time. If you waste time, you waste part of your life. Time shows us what really matters in life; some things that were important 15 years ago no longer matters right now; even your taste changes with time. Time is a great healer, it heals almost every pain in life. Do not hurt yourself for any reason no matter what it is, just give it time.

Lessons Life taught me #7 - Great men aren't always wise; wise men aren't always correct

Too much of wisdom can turn a man into a fool, no wonder some great men display foolishness. Wisdom is not equal to perfection; wise people can also live in errors. In life therefore, it's impossible to live above mistakes.

Lessons Life taught me #8- Everyone is right in their own eyes

We all know how difficult it is to accept our mistakes. It takes extraordinary courage and great humility to say; Sorry I was wrong.
Lessons Life taught me #9Sometimes your best blessings come from your worst situations
No situation is entirely bad; even from the worst of all situations, we still have some lessons to learn. Those tough and unpleasant situations will stretch you and make you better. Sometimes adversities are signs that things are about to get well for you.

Lessons Life taught me #10 - To be trusted is a better compliment than to be loved

It is easier to Love than to trust. You can love your enemies even though you don't trust them(Bible recommends this). But it is almost impossible to trust someone you hate.

Lessons life taught me #11 - Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder?

May be that is true but for me, the eyes seems to be in constant look out for beauty. Beautiful things are like wrist watches, you do not need mirrors to view them. Beautiful things/people are very easy to spot.

Lessons life taught me #12 - Most people get stronger when they are written off

When you write people off, you put yourself in line for surprises. It has a way of bringing out the best in some people. Never despise a man who still has breath in him.

Lessons life taught me #13-No man is infallible

There is nothing like unassailable man anywhere on earth. We are disappointed everyday by those we trust. No man born of a woman is incorruptible. The best of all men is still a man.

Lessons life taught me #14 - Money doesn't bring happiness

The more money you make, the more need and responsibilities you have. Nothing external, neither money, nor any other material thing can bring a sustainable happiness. Happiness comes from within a man.

Lessons Life taught me #15 - We live to learn and we also learn to live. Everyday of our life is an opportunity to experience and learn something new.
